MEET THE AUTHOR Dr. Jeff Stein
Dr. Jeff Stein holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa. He is the R.J. McElroy Chair and Executive-in-Residence in Communication Arts at Wartburg College, teaching broadcasting and media law and ethics courses. He is the administrator of the Archives of Iowa Broadcasting Collection, located in Waverly, and is also the author of "Making Waves: The People & Places of Iowa Broadcasting," published by WDG Publishing, and “Covering Iowa Law and Courts: A Guide for Journalists,” published by the Iowa State Bar Association. Stein is an award-winning broadcaster who has worked for a number of Iowa stations, including KFJB-AM in Marshalltown and WSUI-AM in Iowa City. He currently serves as the political analyst for KWWL-TV in Waterloo.
Jeff Stein is
the executive secretary of the Iowa Broadcast News Association as well
as past president of the Northwest Broadcast News Association. He was
selected as the 2009 recipient of the Jack Shelley Award, the highest
honor presented to broadcast journalists in Iowa. |
