Jason Burns (Wartburg '05), midday personality for KCRR, gives a tour of the 97.7 FM studios during a field trip Tuesday.

Campers review the Q92.3 control room during the field trip.

KCRR's Jason Burns and Q92.3's Aaron Santini teach the campers the finer points of professional radio.

On Wednesday, the students visited the Archives of Iowa Broadcasting to hear about the history of radio and TV from legendary broadcaster and Wartburg professor emeritus Grant Price.

Ann, Mickey and Rachel prepare to go live on 89.9 KWAR during a Tuesday evening broadcast.

At the anchor desk, Taran and Taylor rehearse; while in the TV control room, (L to R), Angela runs tapes, Ryan handles audio, Counselor Karen keeps everyone in line, Kristen takes a turn directing and Counselor Jimmy points out a shot in preparation for a live newscast on Tuesday.

The staff, along with workshop director Dr. Jeff Stein.

A view of how the workshop staff feels about Jimmy.

(And really, who could blame them?)

KSFY-TV Sioux Falls anchor/reporter Brian Allen discussing 'covering the big story' during a Wednesday presentation.

The campers and counselors pose on the KWWL-TV news set with Iowa's News Channel 7 anchors Jeff Kennedy, Tara Thomas, Ron Steele and Rick Coleman after the 6 p.m. newscast Monday.
