Group 1: (Back L to R) Michael Jontz '09, West Des Moines, Iowa; Jake Waddingham '08, Macksburg, Iowa; and Sara Helgens '08, Scotch Grove, Iowa; (Front) Counselor Amy De Jardin '07, Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.
It's so nice when a group tends to all the needs of their counselor.

Group 2: (L to R) D.J. Myers '09, Ames, Iowa; Gretta Stark '08, River Falls, Wisconsin; Counselor Travis Bockenstedt '09, Strawberry Point, Iowa; Ellen Kurt '07, Dyersville, Iowa.
Good videography, good lighting...and, apparently, good makeup...are keys to TV reporting in Travis' world.
Group 3: (Standing L to R) Megan Lackman '07, Denison, Iowa; Julie Winkler '08, Keokuk, Iowa; Justin Conner '07, Algona, Iowa; (Front) Counselor Jonathon Gregg '08, Charlotte, Iowa.
While it may look like a studio light fell onto a staff member, be assured that no counselors were actually harmed during the taking of this photograph.
Group 4: Amanda Stevenson '07, Menomonie, Wisconsin; Alex Davis '08, Paullina, Iowa; Stefani Keller '09, Donnellson, Iowa; Counselor Jimmy Vowell '07, Nashua, Iowa; and Counselor Michelle Caldwell '08, Washington, Iowa.
While we don't recommend that counselors round up and brand their campers like livestock, it does help to identify who is in which group.

At Large Counselors Tim Greenwald '08, Wausau, Wisconsin and Abby Showalter '08, Altoona, Iowa.
No comment is necessary; this photo scarily speaks for itself.

KWWL-TV Anchor/Reporter Tara Thomas, News Director Jon Okerstrom and Anchor/Reporter Ron Steele discuss careers in television news with the students during a Monday evening visit to Iowa's News Channel 7.

Cool 105.7's Craig Laue and Radio Group Promotions Manager Sarah Chase teach the campers the finer points of professional radio from the KOKZ-FM Control Room.

Michael, Jake and Sara prepare to go live on 89.9 KWAR, while Ellen, Gretta, Counselor Travis and D.J. do 'show prep' for a Tuesday evening broadcast.
At the anchor desk, Megan and Stefani rehearse; while in the TV control room, (L to R), Counselor Amy runs tapes, Julie handles audio, Counselor Abby keeps everyone in line, and Justin takes a turn directing in preparation for a live newscast on Tuesday.
